SOCRA Greater Nashville Regional Chapter

In compliance with Covid-19 social distancing requirements the following process will be followed: 

1. The meetings will be conducted remotely.
2. In order to register for the meeting please complete the following REDCap survey

3. Actual attendance will be documented via emailing vonwahlde@vumc.org during or immediately following the meeting.  Following the meeting:
   1. SoCRA members will be emailed a copy of the SoCRA attendance certificate
   2. Non SoCRA members can track attendance via VUMC CME website and/or their own CE tracking method.
   3. A unique VUMC CME code will be provided during the meetings, the code is valid for 24 hours.

The 2024 SoCRA Annual Conference was held in September. The speakers will highlight topics  and share information covered in the program, including research protections and HHS/OHRP initiatives, adverse event reporting, pediatric biobanking, research integrity issues involving researchers, ethical issues with genetic testing and other highlights.

Objectives:

• Discuss consent language and draft guidance from OHRP
• Discuss ethical issues with pediatric biobanking
• Discuss ethical issues and research misconduct
